The Risky Play, Risk Assessment & Outdoor Pedagogy session invites early learning teams to deepen their relationship with outdoor environments through a refined lens of risk, hazards, benefits and possibilities. Participants will explore how to identify hazards thoughtfully, assess risks, and facilitate play experiences that are challenging, engaging, and meaningful for children, regardless of their age and abilities. Teams will leave with practical tools and perspectives to intentionally create outdoor spaces that invite exploration, celebrate possibility, and promote confident, empowered play.
