We are excited to work with you. Upon booking we will get started with a discovery call to discuss and confirm the details for your professional learning experience. Then, we will take it from there!
Behaviour is communication, yet many of the messages children share are expressed through their bodies, sensory responses, emotions, and actions rather than words. When educators understand the connections between sensory processing, stress, regulation, and behaviour, they are better equipped to respond with curiosity, empathy, and intention. Grounded in trauma-informed and neurodivergent-affirming approaches, this session invites educators to move beyond managing behaviour and toward understanding the needs, experiences, and strengths that shape it.
In this session, participants will explore behaviour through the lens of the nervous system and the eight sensory systems while deepening their understanding of their own regulation and sensory patterns. Together, we will examine how co-regulation begins with self-awareness, uncover how sensory needs influence children's engagement, relationships, and expression, and explore the role routines, transitions, environments, and interactions play in supporting or disrupting a sense of safety. Through sensory mapping and reflective activities, educators will gain practical insights into predicting needs, reducing stressors, and fostering more responsive learning environments.
Through discussion, reflection, and real-world application, participants will develop a renewed perspective on behaviour, regulation, and connection. Educators will leave with practical strategies for creating environments that support wellbeing, strengthen relationships, and promote safety, belonging, and joy for both children and the adults who care for them.
Request a session to share your preferred date and a few details about your vision for the experience. Cara will connect with you to confirm your session, personalize your professional learning design plan and finalize the details.
